Getting In Touch with Me
So, you want to get in touch with me. We can do that. But a few caveats, first.
- I can’t read or comment on your work. Sorry, but that’s how it is. For any number of legal and professional reasons, me reading your stuff is a bad idea. It’s nothing personal–I’m sure your work is wonderful; but I can’t look at it.
- I’m not willing to give you a referral to my agent or publisher. Why? Well, again, while I’m sure your stuff is great, I don’t know you, and recommendations are a very personal thing, on both ends. If you want to contact my agent, his information it further down the page; but please, don’t tell him I sent you simply because I posted the link. Ditto my publishers.
- While I read every e-mail I get, I can’t promise I’ll respond in a timely fashion. Part of that is because I’m just plain terrible when it comes to keeping up with correspondence. Truly terrible. The other reason is, well, I have books to write and kids to raise, and that takes up most of what little brain space I have. I’ll fit you in there, honest, but I can’t be sure when a reply will come back out.
With all that said, I love hearing from readers, reviewers, bloggers, critics…pretty much anyone who isn’t trying to spam me. If you want to drop me a line, please feel free to do so HERE.
